Shipping policy

At SAB Supply, we strive to make the delivery and collection process as smooth and efficient as possible. Here’s everything you need to know about how it works:

Delivery Process:

  • Selecting Your Delivery Date: When placing your order, you’ll choose a requested delivery date at checkout.
  • Delivery Charges: All orders above £40 qualify for completely free delivery and collection nationwide, if your order is less than £40 then a £10 each way surcharge will apply. Certain items such as large plant, fencing, tower lights and toilets will always have transport costs on that vary depending on what you ordered and the quantity of items required, these aren't things we could deliver for free unfortunately.
  • Local Delivery: Once your order is placed, we arrange it with the closest local depot that has stock available for your chosen date.

Day of Delivery:

  • Delivery Location: All deliveries are kerbside only. Drivers are not permitted to enter properties or back gardens for insurance reasons; however, they can deliver to a driveway or front garden.
  • Signing for Delivery: Someone must be present to sign for the delivery, as drivers are unable to leave the equipment without a signature.

Collection Process:

  • Hire Period End: The day before your hire period ends, we will contact you to confirm if you’re ready for collection or need to extend the hire.
  • Arranging Collection: If collection is required, we’ll notify your local depot, who will aim to collect the next day. Delays are always a possibility and may occur due to busy schedules, traffic issues or driver absence.
  • Responsibility for Equipment: Please note that the equipment remains your responsibility until it is collected.
  • Collection Location: As with deliveries, all collections must be kerbside. Drivers cannot enter properties or back gardens to retrieve equipment in case they damage anything whilst transporting the kit back and forth.

Abortive Transport Charges:

If a delivery or collection cannot be completed due to the following reasons, we must apply an abortive transport charge:

  • Nobody is available to sign for the delivery or collection.
  • The driver is unable to contact you via phone.
  • The equipment is not kerbside and accessible for collection.

Abortive charges vary depending on what you have hired, for the majority of items a failed delivery charge is £25 + VAT, this is due to the knock on effect it has for the rest of the drivers run if equipment stays on his wagon that isn't supposed to. If you've hired large plant, fencing, tower lights etc that has higher transport costs then this will be a higher abortive if the delivery did fail, this can be discussed with us at any time on 01429869498 if you'd like to find out the cost involved as they do change order to order on larger deliveries.

Abortive collections again vary depending on what you've hired but typically are £10 + VAT for the majority of kit, larger collections again will incur a larger abortive fee.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation to ensure a smooth process for both deliveries and collections. Should you have any questions, feel free to contact our team for assistance!
